Kochavim Tefillah (prayer service): Sing Along! Or Gadol
What a lovely Tefillah today for adat ha-Kochavim! This was the first tefillah for this second group of chanichim (campers) who arrived at our machaneh (camp) just yesterday. Capably led by Rosh Edah Sarah Binney along with Shira (singing) Specialist Oren Kaunfer and Yoetzet Tefillah (Tefillah Advisor) Tami Arnowitz, the chanichim sang new and old tunes to prayers and discovered the two acrostic prayers (Ashrei and El Baruch). They enthusiastically marched around the Bet Knesset while belting out Baruch Sheamar. To top it off, Oren led them in a Singalong of the song Or Gadol (lyrics and youtube, below*). The chanichim were inspired by watching the Koolulam youtube that included thousands of singers in Tel Aviv; our chanichim were no less melodic and inspiring! Boker Tov (Good morning)!
