Magshimim has “Yom Oompa Loompa”

Magshimim had a blast at our Yom Meyuchad (special day) yesterday, titled, “Oompa Loompa Revolution.” The idea behind this special day was to look into how the Oompa Loompas got to Willy Wonka’s factory. We went around all day dressed like Oompa Loompas and participated in a photo scavenger hunt, themed activities about each character from the movie, and dodgeball played with “task balls.” We looked into each character’s flaw, and talked about a Jewish value associated with it. During dodgeball, if the chanichim got hit by one ball they had to do an interpretive dance, by another they had to switch to the other team, and by another they had to give a dvar tefillah (a short talk about a prayer). Overall it was a great day, and we look forward to sharing more fun in the next few days!
