Ramah Affordability Initiative

Camp memories last forever. Camp payments shouldn’t.

We are thrilled to announce Camp Ramah New England’s new affordability initiative, which has a simple goal: to bring overnight camp within financial reach for everyone.  There are two paths to the same discount, depending on where you live:

Road to Camp graphicFor families who live in Massachusetts:

We are proud to be a part of Foundation for Jewish Camp’s new initiative, Road to Camp, offering new and returning Massachusetts families making under $300K a year 30-40% off an incredible Ramah experience, summer after summer.

From 2027 through 2031, eligible Massachusetts families earning under $200,000 annually can receive 40% off tuition, and families earning $200,000 to $300,000 can receive 30% off. Both new and returning campers are eligible. Families can apply for more than one child and receive support across multiple summers.

Applications for FJC’s Road to Camp open November 17th at this link. The process is designed to be transparent, dignified, and easy from start to finish. Answer a few simple questions and get clear answers upfront. No paperwork maze. Plus, families are still able to apply for additional financial aid directly from us, and first-time campers may also be eligible for FJC’s need-blind One Happy Camper® grant at onehappycamper.org.

Path to Palmer graphicFor all other Ramah families:

For kayitz (summer) ‘27, we are proud to be able to match the FJC’s Road to Camp initiative for all other Ramah families with our Path to Palmer! Families earning under $200,000 annually can receive 40% off tuition, and families earning $200,000 to $300,000 can receive 30% off. The award applies to tuition for each camper before any other discounts.

To receive the Path to Palmer award, families must provide a tax return showing their total household income. We will provide secure submission instructions by November 17th.

If you need additional assistance beyond the Path to Palmer award, you may complete our full scholarship application for review by our scholarship committee.

The deadline to apply for this Path to Palmer award is January 19, 2027. Families who apply to camp after January 19, 2027, must request the award & submit their tax return within two weeks of applying to camp.

Our staff parents will continue to receive a staff discount; that cannot be combined with the Path to Palmer award.

We understand that there are many Ramah families who do not qualify for the Path to Palmer who have legitimate need for support; we want to assist you as well. Scholarship applications will be available starting November 17th; please contact our Finance Associate George to add your name to our list, and we will send you the link to the application when it is ready.
