Solelim: Chanicha Explains Hebrew Name

Yehuda Gubani of our tzevet Tarbut Yisraelit (Israeli Culture staff) is seen here introducing a chanicha (camper) from adat-haSolelim to the entire Tzad Aleph at aruchat tzaharayim (lunch).  Noa Adena explained with great poise that she was named for her great-grandmother Anne, who survived Auschwitz with her 11 siblings.  Noa talked about how she feels connected to history in general and Jewish history in particular because of her name, and the legacy it represents.  Her parents chose the Hebrew name Adena in memory of Anne.
