30th Anniversary of the Miriam Dance!

Thirty years ago, Lorraine Arcus, long time Rosh Rikud (the head of our dance program) here at Camp Ramah New England, choreographed the Miriam Dance to honor her friend and colleague, Debbie Friedman. In 1995, Lorraine brought the dance to Camp Ramah, and six girls performed the Miriam Dance for the first Shabbat of camp. Thus, a tradition was born. Since then, it has grown and evolved.  For many years now, the dance has been performed annually by all of adat ha-Nivonim on the first Shabbat of camp.
