Please take action & vote Mercaz!

Hi friends:

We’re asking our Ramah community to please take a moment to read this blog and take one easy action to support our values.

The 2025 World Zionist Congress elections are happening right now.  The WZC controls the allocation of over $2.5 billion in funding to key Jewish institutions, including those that directly impact Ramah camps.

We are asking for help from every member of the Ramah community to please support Conservative/Masorti Jewish values, and the shlichim (Israeli emissaries) program that is so critical to the Ramah experience, by voting MERCAZ in these elections.  Your vote will help support:

  • Ensuring a pluralistic, democratic Israel that recognizes all streams of Judaism.
  • Investing in Jewish life in the U.S., combating antisemitism and misinformation about Zionism.
  • Helping rebuild Israel in the aftermath of October 7 and supports hostage families.
  • Ensuring funding for Israel education at Ramah camps and programs like Ramah Seminar and TRY (Tichon Ramah Yerushalayim).
  • Protecting our shlichim (Israeli emissaries) program – a core part of the Ramah experience.

This will just take five minutes at votemercazusa.org. Any Jewish adult over 18 can vote, and it’s very easy to do.

Ramah New England staff-members Josh Edelglass and Michelle Sugarman, who are the co-directors of our overnight camp, are on the Mercaz slate, along with several other Ramah camp directors!

Please don’t skip this — please vote MERCAZ USA – Slate 17 — this is the slate for Conservative/Masorti Judaism — at votemercazusa.org – it takes 5 minutes and $5 (an administrative fee for the election).

Todah rabbah!
