Yemei Meyuchad Across Camp!

As is our tradition, on Wednesday (yesterday) was a Yom Meyuchad (Special Day)! Our mumchim (adult specialists) were on a day off, so our madrichim/ot (counselors) planned a day of fun special peulot (programs) for our chanichim/ot. Additionally our Nivonim CITs ran incredible programming for our Tzad Aleph chanichim/ot!

Here are some updates from our Rashei Edot (Division Heads):

In Kochavim, our chanichim participated in Yom Minions. It was a blast! From the scavenger hunt of the stolen moon to dance battles, to ice cream, and more, our chanichim had an incredible day!

In Ilanot, we had Yom Disney for our Yom Meyuchad! We had a Disney-themed scavenger hunt, activities like “make your own forky from Toy Story” and Disney bingo, and a Disney jeopardy game! We enjoyed ice cream during “glidah gladness” in the afternoon, and we watched Trolls for a movie night with the rest of Tzad Aleph (A-Side)!

Shhhhhh — for your eyes only — this week, Solelim had Yom Spy, where we sharpened our skills, created new gadgets, and cracked codes around camp. We ended the yom meyuchad by putting our spy skills to the test!

Shoafim‘s Yom Meyuchad was Yom A.I! We had peulot connected to different types of technology, from a ‘telephone’ game competition to rotations on the migrash where the chanichim had puzzle solving, philosophical questions, an obstacle course, and skit making. We ended things with competitive trivia at the gorgeous Tzad Aleph amphitheater!

Today Amitzim had Yom Jungle! We spent time in nature and made epic jungle masks!

Magshimim embraced the world of wacky sports with Yom ESPN8 The Ocho, competing in funky games, silly sports, and creative challenges to see which kvutza (group) would emerge victorious and save the channel!!

Bogrim had a blast with Yom Madrich (Counselor). They went through staff week trainings, had a rikud-off, and got involved in peulat erev planning. It was a day full of kef (fun)!”

On our Yom Meyuchad, Machon traveled the world on Mach-airlines! During the day, we journeyed from Italy (making pizza) to Argentina (playing soccer), all the way to Egypt (where we built pyramids).

Nivonim had an amazing morning as MiNis (Madrichim b’Nivonim, or CITs)! They planned their first peulot tzrif (bunk activities) and peulot edah (division activities) for all of Tzad Aleph and Amitzim. Chanichim enjoyed everything from relay races and rock painting to yoga and friendship bracelet making! It was great to see the Nivonimers successfully taking on this leadership role, and we can’t wait until next week!
