Yom ROO 2025!

Today was YOM ROO, our annual day of sports competitions with Camp Ramah in the Berkshires!

This tradition began more than 40 years ago, and for many of our Tzad Bet (B-Side) campers, this is a highlight of their summer.

Our JV (Magshimim & Bogrim campers) and Varsity (Machon & Nivonim) campers competed in a wide array of sports, all day long.

We love giving our athletes at camp this chance to shine.  Our teams meet to practice every regular day, and the bonds formed between teammates, and between the players and their coaches, are tight!  Roo is also a great opportunity for kids to develop and build skills in the sport of their choosing.

But Yom Roo isn’t just for our athletes!  We also have a variety of non-competitive sports Roo teams, including band, two dance teams (JV and varsity), and a performing arts group!  All of those groups gave incredible performances yesterday.  We also have scrabble and chess ROO teams.

As for the results?  Palmer took the day!  Palmer teams triumphed in Varsity tennis, Varsity boys basketball, Varsity & JV scrabble, Varsity & JV swim, Varsity & JV track, Varsity volleyball, Varsity soccer, & chess. Berkshires won JV & Varsity ultimate, JV tennis, JV boys basketball, JV & Varsity girls basketball, JV volleyball, and JV soccer.

We’re so proud of all the chanichim/ot (campers) from both camps! It was a great day!
