Instructions for Emailing Your Campers
There are two ways to email your children at camp:
Through the Campanion App:
- Open the app.
- Touch the menu icon in the top left corner (it looks like three lines) to access the menu.
- Click on “Letters”
- Click on the pencil icon in the top right corner
- The window will open where you can type your email. Select your camper from the drop-down menu at the top. When you’re finished, click the “send your letter” button at the bottom.
Through our website:
- Log into Campminder through “CampIntouch”. Click the “login” button on the menu-bar on the top of our website, or by clicking here.
- Click “email”
- You’ll see your campers displayed at the top; just click whoever you intend to write to, then write your email in the box. When you’re finished, click the “send your email” button at the bottom.
- For our 2024 parents, emails are free and “camp stamps” are no longer required. Even if your account lists zero camp stamps, you will be able to send an email.
Requesting an eLetter reply:
Campminder has now added an option, which you’ll see at the bottom of the screen when you email your campers, to check a box saying “I would like a handwritten eLetter reply to this email.” If you do this, what will happen is that when we print out your email to give to your camper, we’ll also print a second piece of paper with a barcode, personalized to your camper, at the top. Campers can choose to write a letter on that paper and give it to their counselor or yoetzet; we’ll then scan the letter and the barcode will allow the scanned letter to go directly into your account. We’ll continue to be asking all campers (except in Nivonim) to write to a parent or guardian two times a week. If you click this option, we’ll give the paper with a bar-code to your camper, and they can choose this method to write to you if they wish, or to write a “snail mail” letter as usual. We’ll scan and upload these letters 2-3 times a week.
Email Dissemination to Campers:
Emails will be printed and distributed once a day, 5 days a week, early in the morning (not Shabbat).
Guest Accounts:
By clicking the “Guest Accounts” icon, you will be able to create accounts for family members and friends to send emails. After creating each account, your guest will receive an email similar to the one you received when first creating a
password and security questions. They will be guided through the same process in order to log in securely.
Sending Hebrew Language Emails:
Because Campminder does not support Hebrew fonts, any Israeli family who wants to send their child an email in Hebrew can send the email to our registrar. Please be sure to include your camper’s name and bunk number in the subject line. We will print and deliver the email to your camper.
