Nivonim and Machon Lead Tzad Aleph Peulot!

As part of this week’s Yom Meyuchad activities on Wednesday, chanichim/ot (campers) from adat ha-Nivonim and adat ha-Machon led special fun peulot across Tzad Aleph (A-Side) & for Amitzim!

At Ramah, a big part of the camp experience, especially for our older chanichim, is having opportunities to develop leadership skills.  And so we were delighted to give our Machon and Nivonim chanichim the chance to plan & lead these special peulot for our younger chanichim.  Nivonim has already done this on several occasions this kayitz, as part of their CIT (MiNi — Madrichim b’Nivonim) experience, and it was very exciting for us to see our Machon campers also given this opportunity to step up and be a part of creating these special experiences for our younger kids at camp.  The Nivonim & Machon chanichim worked hard to create these fun peulot, and they did an amazing job!

Nivonim ran a series of Peulot Edah (division-wide activities).  For Kochavim & Ilanot, they ran an object Apples to Apples game.  For Solelim & Shoafim, they ran Family Feud.  For Amitzim, they ran a Battle of the Bands lip synch battle!

Later in the day, Machon ran an array of fun and silly stations!  For Kochavim, they ran a sponge relay race, roof ball, freeze-dance, pass and draw, and animal duck duck goose.  For Ilanot, they ran an Olympics series of stations involving a human relay race, a counting game, cup stacking, and other silly relay races.  For Solelim, they ran beading, roofball, volleyball, bowling, and ga-ga.  For Shoafim, they ran a “color challenge” involving cup stacking, spike ball, a dance-off, drawing, and a challenge to create a team song.  For Amitzim, they ran a made-up game that combined basketball and hula-hoops, then did beading and coloring activities.
